Baka a.k.a Paboya updates:

TUK-TUK POWER IS HERE!!!! gosh i'm so obsessed with the tuk-tuk these days! (FYI, tuk-tuk is the mini taxis in thailand, they're really cute and so is their name! MUAHAHA) well anyway after seating in the tuk-tuk, i'm totally smitten with it! Also, esp when it drives up slope, its engine goes *VROOMMMMMMMM* and i like to imitate it by going "TUK-TUK power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" it's really fun yea~

PHUKET was lovely, fantastic, superb. The seas are breath-taking, the scenary a picturesque. if tt's how u spell it. pple have been jokingly warning me of the tsunami after effects, about how dead bodies will be buried in the sands.. but what i see the purification the the natural disaster has created. the seas are once more abundant with life and the water so blue and green that i can just seat by the sea side and stare at the roaring waves splash over and over again as if it were a lullaby. I'd never be sick of the sea. It amazes me what wonder the ocean can do.

As for the town people, they're a bunch of nice people, except for those really desperate to make a living. Some are so persistent they'd grab me and hold on and keep asking me how much i'm willing to pay. "how much? u tell me how much?" keeps repeating in my mind. i'm truly sad for them but hey, thais have a special gift of arts n craft. y not make a living utilizing their skills instead of trying to earn just barely enough for the day?

Anyway, shopping at phuket was really fun, except for those treacherous nincompoops who think tourists these days have no brain. they slaughter us with huge huge prices and then when you're taking ur leave they become desperate and say "ok ok, i give u cheaper" and just when you're about to take another look, they give u just 50 baht discount (FYI, 50 baht is like 2 bucks SGD) this is ridiculous, esp when they first set their price 10 times the cost price. hey, to make a living doesn't mean you have to scare away your customers ok. we're not stupid.

We stayed at KATATHANI, just next to the KATA NOI beach. gosh altho our beach was the smallest, it was the most beautiful. the sunrise, sunsets - marvelous~ I was really surprised coz' after sun-tanning with my bro for the entire afternoon and treating ourselves to some thai-style massage, my dad came to tell me tt he received a birthday cake for me. woah~ these people really do take a second look at your birthday. i'm so glad they're such thoughtful people! My bro also got a cake on the day we left but apparently they aren't such fantastic cake bakers so we gave to cake to our driver. lol he must be wondering the cake given to him has a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" written on it. *evil laughter*

Too bad we only went a 4d3n, there wasn't enough time for me to shop for all my friends. i'm sorry all, i promise if i ever go abroad i'll try to get u all something ^_^ i gtg now, do french!!!! later still have to go sch for french. ARGH
take careeeee~
